Officers went to a residence on Village Lane in Athens where a female told them someone repeatedly pressed the doorbell, but she was unable to see anyone. She opened the door and was confronted by several people with firearms wearing dark clothing. The suspects ordered her to give them money then fled the scene. Police urges the public to be cautious and avoid opening their doors without ensuring they recognize the individuals outside, especially at night.
