From the Pickett County Sheriff’s Office:

On July 30, 2025 Deputy Keyton Dowdy conducted a traffic stop on a white in color crown victoria. Joey Lane Daniels 55 of Jamestown, TN was operating the vehicle and was unable to provide a valid driver’s license and the vehicle did not have a valid registration. During inventory of the vehicle prior to having it towed a zipper pouch containing a clear crystal like substance consistent with Methamphetamine along with multiple items consistent with drug paraphernalia was located. Therefore charging Joey Lane Daniels with 39-17-418 Simple Possession of Methamphetamine and 39-17-425 Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. Deputy Joseph Britt assisted in this investigation .
