The City of Clinton is proud to announce the promotion of Jim Campbell to Chief of Police!

Chief Campbell brings over three decades of dedicated service to law enforcement, marked by integrity, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to his community. He began his career in 1993 and joined the Clinton Police Department in 2003, where his dedication and leadership quickly stood out. In 2019, he was appointed Assistant Chief, and in November 2024, he stepped up as Interim Chief during a time of transition.

Now officially serving as Chief of Police, Chief Campbell is recognized not only for his deep knowledge and capable leadership but also for the selfless way he serves his department and the City of Clinton. He leads with heart, humility, and a steadfast belief in community-first policing. Chief Campbell looks forward to serving the citizens of Clinton as we continue to grow together as a community.
