JOEL GUY JR. SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER AND DISMEMBERMENT OF PARENTS
Joel Guy Jr. was sentenced to life in prison today after a Knox County jury found him guilty of murdering and dismembering his parents, Joel Guy Sr and Lisa Guy back in 2016. He was unanimously convicted on all seven charges: two counts premeditated first-degree murder, three counts of felony murder and two counts of abuse of a corpse. During the four day trial, prosecutors introduced numerous pieces of evidence and witnesses to support the case Guy Jr. planned to kill and dismember his parents for financial gain.
