From the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office:

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Posey arrested John E. Taylor, 47, of Sunbright, on May 1, 2025, on charges related to narcotics possession and distribution. Taylor was taken into custody during a traffic stop and subsequent searches uncovered substances and items believed to be methamphetamine and Fentanyl, among other evidence. He is being held on a $200,000 bond. Sheriff Rick Hamby commended Deputy Posey’s work and attention to detail and the assistance from the Wartburg Police Department.
