A traffic stop on Highway 70 North in Cumberland County this week resulted in an arrest. A deputy pulled over a vehicle operated by 52-year-old Jeffrey Lee Jones of Crossville for a broken rear tail light. When the officer asked Jones if he had any illegal weapons on him, Jones reportedly indicated he had a handgun in his pocket. A check revealed he is a convicted felon for vehicular assault. Jones was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a weapon.
