Joseph O. Lowe, age 74, of Crossville, passed away October 31, 2020. He was born July 1, 1946 in Crossville, the son of Otto and Nettie Sloan Lowe. He was owner of Joe Lowe Builders for over 40 years with 25 of those years spent building in Fairfield Glade. He attended Lawrence Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Joe loved his family, especially his grandchildren. You could never have a conversation with Joe without discussing his grandbabies. They were his pride and joy. Joe also loved to farm, and he taught his grandchildren about farming and taking care of the animals. He was an avid sportsman and that too was something he shared with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Linda Cox Lowe; son: Joe Lowe Jr. (Dana) of Crossville; daughter: Kim Lowe Hinch (Sam) of Crossville; brothers: Earl Lowe (Theresa) of Crossville, Claude Lowe of Jamestown, Dale Lowe of Pikeville, Tennessee and Billy Lowe of Jamestown; sisters: Kathy Lowe, Brenda Bailey and Rachel Pryor, all of Crossville; stepmother: Willie Mae Lowe of Crossville; and grandchildren: Devin Hinch Cole (Brandon) and Lexi Hinch Parsons (Logan), both of Chattanooga and Brody Lowe and Briggs Lowe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www2.jdrf.org
