JUDGE DENIES BANKRUPTCY FOR FORMER WHITE COUNTY BUSINESS OWNERS
A judge has reportedly denied a White County business an attempt to file bankruptcy. An attorney for Wendy Gentry, owner of the former Gentry Brothers Tractor Supply, filed earlier this month in a federal bankruptcy court. The petition was denied citing that it was for the best interest of the creditors. Civil lawsuits filed against Gentry and her husband accuse them of creating a ponzi-type scheme involving various investors. The couple has been under federal investigation since December. The U.S. Marshal Service is expected to conduct an auction on the business’s inventory next month.
