Late yesterday, a jury found a man guilty of first-degree murder of the September 2016 hit-and-run death in Rhea County of a Dayton thrift store employee. Officers say 54-year-old Douglas Alvey of Hamilton County is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Walter Hale, an employee at the We Care Thrift Store.
