JUVENILE RUN OVER BY PARADE FLOAT DURING CLEVELAND CHRISTMAS PARADE

During the Cleveland Christmas parade on Saturday night, a juvenile participant fell off a float in the parking lot of Bradley Central High School as it made a low-speed turn and was subsequently run over by the float’s tires. Deputies and on-scene emergency medical personnel responded immediately; the juvenile remained alert and conscious and was transported to a hospital for further evaluation. Authorities have not released the minor’s identity and are still working to determine their current condition.

We are deeply saddened about the accident involving a young parade participant after the Christmas Parade. Our hearts are with the child, their family, and all who were nearby. We’re grateful for the quick response from law enforcement and emergency personnel and relieved to hear the child was alert at the scene. Safety is always our highest priority. We are keeping this young participant and their family close in our thoughts.
