KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED FOR BITING INFANT SON ON THE FACE

Kentucky State Police arrested a Knox County, Kentucky, man Monday after he allegedly bit his three-month-old son on the face. Troopers say Eric Bays told them he was watching his son and became frustrated when the infant would not stop crying. Bays tried several things to calm the baby. When those did not work, troopers say Bays admitted to becoming angry and biting his son on the left cheek above his jawline. “There are so many different solutions that could have taken place here. Whether it is laying the child in the crib, walk away from the situation for a few minutes. Contact a family member. Ask for help. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help. Especially if you are a new father,” said Shane Jacobs with Kentucky State Police Post 10. According to a citation, Bays said he knew he should not have bitten his son and wants to find help for his anger. Bays was charged with second-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12.
