KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL TO DISCUSS $900,000 PLAN FOR WASTEWATER PLANT

The Kingston City Council is scheduled to meet tonight, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. The council and mayor will review and potentially act on several items. First, they will consider a proclamation declaring April 2025 as Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd as Autism Awareness Day in Kingston. Under new business, the council will consider the first reading of an ordinance to add fireworks regulations to the Kingston Municipal Code. They will also review an ordinance establishing a sanitation fund for the city, followed by consideration of an application to remove speed bumps on Montvue Avenue. Additionally, the council will discuss authorizing an appropriation of $21,375 from the sale of surplus police department property to purchase a Polaris Ranger side-by-side.
Following the council meeting, the members will convene as the Water Board to address one item: considering a bid award of $899,300 from Design and Construction Services Incorporated for wastewater treatment plant and pump station improvements, to be funded using the city’s ARP funding.
The Kingston City Council, Water Board, and Beer Board meet Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend, and meetings can also be viewed online at kingstntn.gov.
