KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TONIGHT TO DISCUSS BUDGET AMENDMENTS AND LADD PARK UPGRADES

The Kingston City Council will gather for its regular monthly meeting tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. at Kingston City Hall, featuring a streamlined agenda focused on routine municipal finances and key public park developments.
Council members are scheduled to review two proposed budget amendments—one affecting the city’s general operating budget and another for the water and sewer fund. City officials noted these amendments represent standard periodic adjustments designed to maintain fiscal alignment throughout the fiscal year.
A central point of discussion will be an update from City Manager David Bolling regarding ongoing park projects, specifically focusing on Ladd Park. Residents seeking clarity on the park’s temporary closure are expected to receive details on site restoration progress as well as active facility upgrades. The enhancement project at Ladd Park includes construction of a new pavilion, updated restroom facilities, and a boat ramp. Bolling is anticipated to outline updated project timelines and target completion dates during the session.
Following the regular council meeting, members will convene in their dual capacities as the Kingston Beer Board and Water Board.
All sessions are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and participate during public comment periods.
