On Wednesday last week, Kingston Police Department investigators began looking into juveniles obtaining and consuming liquor on the day prior. The investigators found video footage from Kay Mart #3 wine and spirits store located on North Kentucky Street.

In the video footage, an employee by the name of Jatin C Patel sold a bottle of Bird Dog liquor to a 17-year-old juvenile male. An arrest warrant was obtained for Patel for selling the liquor and the juvenile has been charged with possession of alcohol in the Roane County juvenile court.

Yesterday, close to 5:00, Patel was placed under arrest and transported to the Roane County detention facility.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
