KINGSTON WOMAN CRASHES INTO T.D.O.T. TRUCK IN KNOXVILLE; FACES DUI CHARGES

On September 22, 2025, around 9:45 p.m., 20-year-old Lauren Dixon from Kingston, Tennessee, was involved in a crash on I-40 near the Papermill exit in Knoxville, where she collided with a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) truck. According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Dixon admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana prior to the incident.
The trooper found an open bottle of vodka and marijuana in her vehicle, which was damaged in the collision with the TDOT truck. Dixon now faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence, failing to exercise due care, possession, underage consumption, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, following too closely, and violating Tennessee’s move over law.
