KNIFE WIELDING WOMAN SHOT BY KNOXVILLE POLICE OFFICER DIES
Knoxville Police Officials say that a woman who threatened an officer with a knife and was then shot by the officer has died. During a call, 49-year-old Sierra McCouley was found standing naked in a street holding a military-style knife. She had allegedly cut herself and another person. That person did not receive life-threatening wounds. However, when McCauley approached Officer James Gadd, he fired, striking her. She died Tuesday. Gadd has been placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation.
