A Knox County man is facing charges after allegedly attacking a woman. Officers say 40-year-old Jason Copley was arrested for rape, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and two counts of felony possession of a firearm. According to the arrest report, the victim stated Copley drove her to his house on Old Rutledge Pike Saturday afternoon, where he took her cell phone and refused to let her leave. He produced a gun then raped her. Officers say Copley has an extensive criminal history in Knox County, Anderson County, and Detroit, Michigan, involving aggravated assault, kidnapping, DUI, arson and many other charges.
