KNOXVILLE RESTAURANT OWNER CHARGED WITH BUYING FOOD WITH FOOD STAMP CARDS
Knox County Deputies conducted a raid at a restaurant in the northern part of Knoxville Wednesday. The owner of Taco de Mexico on Beaumont Drive, is suspected of buying up food stamp cards for 50 cents on the dollar and using them to buy food for his restaurant. 57-year-old Jorge Luah is also accused of allegedly selling stolen drinks to workers at construction sites. Luah faces several charges, including identity theft, EBT card fraud and computer crimes associated with EBT cards. He could also face federal charges in the case.
