KROGER ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAM AIMED AT CUSTOMERS RECEIVING GOV. ASSISTANCE
The Kroger Co. announced the launch of its Verified Savings Program on December 29, 2025, aimed at expanding food access for customers receiving government assistance, such as SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and other programs. Eligible individuals can enroll online through SheerID for verification, which lasts five months and requires reconfirmation to continue. Once verified and linked to a Kroger digital account, participants automatically receive a 20% discount on qualifying fruits and vegetables (limited to one redemption per household per day) through January 31, 2026.
Additionally, enrollees qualify for half-off Boost by Kroger Plus memberships, reducing annual plans to $34.50 for Boost Essential or $49.50 for the full Boost (with monthly options at $4.50 or $6.50), offering benefits like unlimited free delivery on $35+ orders, double fuel points, exclusive offers, and streaming options for annual members. Kroger highlighted this initiative as a step toward affordability and food security, with tools like the OptUP app and free dietitian consultations available to support healthier choices.
Details, including restrictions, are available on Kroger’s website.
