KY. WOMAN SENTENCED TO PRISON AFTER ARREST FOR GETTING TEEN DRUNK

A Somerset, Kentucky, woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being charged with forcing her 14-year-old daughter to drink. Officials say Miranda Polston was on probation for a felony when she was accused of forcing her daughter to drink alcohol. As a result, a hearing was held and the judge decided to revoke her probation, giving her a 20-year sentence. Police say parts of the incident were captured on video, which shows the teen being held in a chair so she wouldn’t fall over. One male juvenile was holding her up while another was offering her more alcohol. The mother is heard on the video saying she could be on MTV and would get $1 million if she kept drinking. Polston was charged with criminal abuse and will stand trial next month on that charge.
