LA-Z-BOY ANNOUNCES NEW EXPANSION WITH ADDITIONAL JOBS
One of the largest employers in the region will be expanding. Gov. Bill Haslam announced Thursday that La-Z-Boy will be growing its manufacturing plant in Dayton and will be adding more jobs. Officials with the furniture company said that the expansion will cost around $26 million in three years-time and will add 115 new jobs to Rhea County’s workforce. La-Z-Boy has been a part of Dayton’s community for over 40 years and employees 1400 workers, the largest in the county. Gov. Haslam said the plant’s expansion “helps us become one step closer to our goal of making Tennessee the No.1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.
