LANCING MAN ARRESTED IN CROSSVILLE FOR DUI AND FIREARM WHILE INTOXICATED

On April 13, 2025, at around 10:36 PM, Crossville Police responded to a report of a person asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle at Speedway on Genesis. Officer Jacob Ogle found Christopher Flowers unconscious and unresponsive, with a strong alcohol odor in the vehicle. Flowers was difficult to wake, appeared confused, slurred his words, and had bloodshot, droopy eyes.
He admitted to drinking, initially claiming one drink but later increasing the number. Flowers said he had been at Rumors bar.
During Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Flowers showed signs of impairment, including lack of smooth pursuit, nystagmus, and balance issues during the walk-and-turn and one-leg stand tests. He failed a portable breath test. Officers arrested him and found an open bottle of Moscato and a revolver within his reach in the vehicle.
A blood search warrant was granted, and two vials of blood were collected at Cumberland Medical. The firearm, bullet, and blood samples were logged as evidence, and Flowers was taken to Cumberland County Jail.
