LARGE AMOUNT OF AMMUNITION STOLEN AT CROSSVILLE POLICE FIRING RANGE
Cumberland County deputies responded yesterday to the Crossville Police Department firing range on City Lake Road for a theft.
Officers arrived to observe the range house doors destroyed, and multiple items inside were missing.
Items taken included two cases of 5.56 ammo, three cases of .40 caliber ammunition, a case of 12 gauge ammo, and a case of 12 gauge buckshot ammunition, totaling 4,500 rounds.
Also taken were three blue 5-gallon buckets filled with spent brass casings of various pistols and rifle calibers, a trauma kit in a black bag, and a large trash can.
The report states there was no video surveillance available at the scene to review.
