A Facebook posting by Dr. Reed on November 9, 2020:

“I awakened at 1:45 this morning with hard cramps in my hip and thigh muscles. I quickly got out of bed and stood on the floor to get relief. I was reminded that 78 years ago at this same time, my mother had been awakened with cramping pains of a different sort. My dad had summoned Dr. Crain to our house to assist her. He later memorialized the moment with a poem: “This news I bring to you, it happened this morning at 2:00. When you ask if he’s a rounder, he’s exactly a nine pounder. When you ask his name, It’s Larry Dewayne.” I love you Mama and Daddy!! I hope to see you sooner than later.”
