LAWN EQUIPMENT THEFT WAVE SPARKS INVESTIGATION IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Local authorities are warning residents to lock up their property following a sudden spike in outdoor equipment thefts across the area.

According to Crossville-Cumberland County Crimestoppers, a distinct pattern of thefts has emerged over the last few days. Thieves are targeting easily transportable outdoor machinery, including mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers, chainsaws, pressure washers, and other lawn equipment.

Officials are urging the community to keep all outdoor tools secure, locked away, and completely out of sight when they are not in use.

Crimestoppers is asking anyone with information regarding the individuals responsible for these thefts to come forward, and to call Crossville-Cumberland County Crimestoppers at (931) 200-1173.

All callers will remain completely anonymous. If your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of the stolen property, you will be eligible for a cash reward.
