LEDBETTER CHARGED FOR METH POSSESSION, EVIDENCE TAMPERING

While on patrol Saturday evening, Cumberland County deputies encountered 36-year-old Jonathan Keith Ledbetter of Monterey, who failed to obey a stop sign at Sandy Creek and Cow Pen Road. When initiating a traffic stop, a deputy saw the driver throw a plastic bag out the driver’s-side window. After deputies recovered the bag, Ledbetter admitted the crystalline substance inside was meth. Ledbetter was arrested on felony charges of manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of meth and tampering with evidence, and placed under $12,000 bond. He’s got a court appearance March 4.
