LENOIR CITY POLICE IDENTIFY BODY FOUND IN VACANT LOT; AUTOPSY UNDERWAY
Lenoir City police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body Thursday morning in a wooded area between Kingston Street and 10th Avenue.
Police say the body of 37-year-old Rudy Stricker was discovered by a resident out for a walk.
An autopsy is underway at the Regional Forensic Center in Knoxville and authorities say preliminary results may be released sometime late today.
Lenoir City Police Chief Don White said Stricker’s body had been there “multiple days,” but said it would be premature to speculate on the nature or cause of death.
