LOCAL MAN’S CARD SOMEHOW USED FOR FLORIDA PURCHASE OF OVER $1,000
Yesterday, Deputy Joshua Matthews was asked to speak with a man over the phone regarding a fraudulent charge on his credit card. He told the deputy that on the 19th, a purchase of $1,010.33 was made on his NASTC fuel card at a Petro Travel Center in Reddick, Florida.
The victim subsequently reached out to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, who advised him that an officer would contact him at some point to file a report. They also recommended that he file a report with Cumberland County Deputies, as he resides in Cumberland County, Tennessee.
The victim confirmed that neither he nor his other truck driver authorized the purchase. He further stated that he had already contacted NASTC regarding the charge and that they were in the process of sending him the necessary paperwork to complete.
Additionally, he reached out to Petro Travel Center, which confirmed that the purchase had been made there.
There are no known suspects at this time.
