Because of the drought conditions in our area, the Tennessee Division of Forestry has issued an outdoor burning ban now (Friday, October 27) through Monday, October 30, 2023.

Crossville Fire Rescue will not issue burn permits in the city throughout the weekend.

Fire officials will monitor the situation closely and consult with the Tennessee Division of Forestry on Monday to determine when it will be safe to issue permits.

Crossville Fire Chief Chris South requests everyone be very cautious in the coming days as any uncontrolled fire will spread quickly.
