LOCAL WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER LEAVING THE SCENE OF A POWER POLE CRASH WITH DEBRIS STUCK IN BUMPER

A Crossville woman was taken into custody early Sunday morning after police traced a trail of antifreeze and car parts straight to her driveway following a collision with a utility pole.
According to a Crossville Police Department report filed by Officer Ogle, city units responded to the 1300 block of East First Street at approximately 1:56 a.m. on November 1, 2026, following reports of a vehicle wreck. Responding officers discovered debris from a silver car scattered across the roadway and a damaged power pole with yellow coating peeled from its support lines.
Officers followed a leaking antifreeze trail outbound to a residence on East First Street, where they located a silver Toyota Camry in the driveway. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage, including a piece of the power pole’s yellow support coating wedged directly into the front bumper.
Authorities made contact with Cassandra Davis inside the residence, noting she appeared heavily intoxicated. After being advised of her Miranda Rights, Davis confirmed she was the last person to drive the vehicle but denied having been involved in a wreck.
Davis was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident. VEC crews responded to repair the damaged utility pole. Police noted that additional areas of property damage along East First Street may exist, though officers were unable to fully verify them due to the late hour.
