LOSHBOUGH ARRESTED FOR FIFTH TIME ON DUI AFTER SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH
Late Friday night, Cumberland County deputies responded to a vehicle vs. light-pole crash on Taylor’s Chapel Road. When they arrived, they found 40-year-old Michael David Loshbough of Crossville, who smelled strongly of alcohol. There were several beer cans strewn about the roadway that had come from Loshbough’s vehicle. When deputies asked if he’d had anything to drink, Loshbough replied he’d had five or six Bud Lights.
Loshbough agreed to field-sobriety tests and performed badly. During the second one, he stated he couldn’t do the test. The officer asked if he was refusing to do the test, to which Loshbough responded, “No, I’m stupid.” The deputy asked why he said that and he replied, “Because I’ve been drinking.”
Loshbough was also unable to complete the third test.
He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Deputies noted his history includes four prior DUI charges, dating back to 2002.
