LOUDON COUNTY MAN INJURED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ACCIDENT

A Loudon County man was injured in a single vehicle accident in eastern Cumberland County this morning. Trooper David Jones says a dump truck driven by 66-year-old Steven M. Newberry of Lenoir City was traveling east on I-40 at the 334 mile marker when the right front tire blew out. The dump truck hauling sand left the interstate and struck an embankment coming to rest on its side. Newberry was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
