LT. GOVERNOR WORKING TO DISCOVER WHAT HAPPENED WITH INVALID ACT SCORES

The Lt. Governor of Tennessee is not happy with the way things turned out after hundreds of school students were told their ACT scores were voided. Students taking ACT’s at Bearden High School in Knox County and Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute in Fentress County were sent a letter stating that they received the wrong tests and that those test scores were invalid. They have been given a voucher to retake the test, but many students and parents are angry because those tests are used to help students gain entry into colleges and universities in a timely manner. Lt. Gov. Randy McNally says that the ACT Company needs to be more accountable with what happened. McNally’s office plans to set up a meeting with the ACT soon in order to discuss and find a possible solution to the problem.
