MAINE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION AT LAKE TANSI HOME

While patrolling in Tansi Friday night, Cumberland County deputies noticed two men with flashlights on a vacant lot on Wabash Lane. According to the arrest report, one of the men, 27-year-old Michael Vincent Paskell, became “very uncooperative and refused to identify himself.” In speaking with Paskell, deputies noticed a strong odor of alcohol and asked whether he’d been drinking. He replied, “Yes, but on my own property.”

When asked if he owned the property on which they were standing, he said no “and took off running on foot through a wooded area toward a residence on Wabash Lane.”

After a short pursuit, he ran into a home on Wabash Lane and locked the door.

Shortly afterward, when backup units had arrived, other residents of the home let officers in to retrieve Paskell. In plain sight were 160 grams of marijuana, 8 grams of marijuana concentrate (dab), five glass pipes with marijuana residue, a water bong, a set of digital scales and two propane torches.

One of the occupants of the home, 22-year-old Stacy Lee Jackson of North Ansen, Maine, claimed the drugs and paraphernalia were hers.

Paskell was arrested for resisting arrest and evading arrest; he was placed under $3,000 bond and is due in court April 22. Jackson was charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of marijuana concentrate and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; she was placed under $53,000 bond and is also due in court April 22.
