“MAJOR LOSS” SUFFERED AFTER FIRE AT LAKE CUMBERLAND’S CONLEY BOTTOM MARINA
A large fire early this morning damaged parts of the marina at Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Kentucky.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m. and destroyed the store and café, according to Freddie Piercy, the marina’s co-owner. The fire also caused damage to a houseboat owned by the marina.
However, no rental boats were damaged and Piercy says the marina will be open for the Memorial Day weekend, which is typically one of the busiest weekends at Lake Cumberland.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
