MALE CHARGED WITH DRIVING INTOXICATED AND HITTING PEDESTRIAN
On Saturday around 1 AM, Chandler Vannatter was believed to be driving under the influence when a Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputy noticed him driving his SUV in the wrong lane. Deputy turned around to catch up to Vannatter when the vehicle struck a pedestrian. Brandon Norris was walking down the street when he was struck by the SUV. Norris suffered arm injuries and was taken to Cumberland Medical Center. Before the vehicle was towed, two handguns were recovered from the vehicle.
Vannatter was arrested and faces three charges: vehicle assault charge, driving under the influence, and possession of a handgun while intoxicated.
