MALE FOUND WITH MORE NARCOTICS IN SHOE AT INTAKE
Cumberland County deputies observed the driver of Pontiac Grand Prix unable to maintain their lane Friday. The deputy initiated a traffic stop off HWY 68 and identified the driver as 53-year-old Dwane Stoner. The deputy noted that Stoner was acting very nervous and when asked where he was headed, he stated he was going to Bobby’s house where he usually sleeps. However, he was unable to tell the deputy where Bobby lived. After being inconsistent with stories, the deputy performed a frisk for weapons on Stoner.
In the bottom of a cigarette pack, was a pill believed to be Oxycodone.
He was placed under arrest. While in the Cumberland County jail, he was searched and had 4 more pills, believed to be Oxycodone, and two more pills believed to be Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone. In his left shoe was .35 grams of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
All narcotics were sent to the TBI lab to be weighed, identified, and examined.
Dwane Arthur Stoner was charged with:
- Simple Possession
- Man, Del, Sell or Possession of Meth
- Contraband in a Penal Institution
His bond was set at $16,500.
