MAN ACC– USED OF POINTING SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN AT KENTUCKY DEPUTY

A Laurel County, Kentucky, man was arrested after authorities say he pointed a shotgun at a deputy and constable. The deputy and a constable reported to a home off Rough Creek Road Wednesday night because a female was in a vehicle accident. Authorities say 35-year-old Coty Jones, picked up a sawed-off shotgun and pumped a round inside it before pointing it at the constable. The deputy ordered the man to drop the weapon, but Jones instead closed the door. He eventually opened the door again and surrendered to authorities. The deputy says Jones placed the shotgun under a chair, where it was accessible to a child. Jones is charged with multiple counts of wanton endangerment, menacing, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
