MAN ACC– USED OF WALMART SHOOTING IS CHARGED IN ANOTHER VIOLENT CRIME

The Briceville man who was recently indicted on several charges, including second degree murder, has a history of violence. 32-year-old Robert Myers was indicted in the shooting death of Marshal Pinsley on April 28 at the Clinton Walmart parking lot. The men knew each other previously as Pinsley was Myer’s ex-wife’s husband. Anderson County Investigators are looking into a case where Myers was charged with kidnapping and attempted first degree murder of Brandy Moneymaker who was found on New River Highway on Feb. 8. Moneymaker says Myers beat her severely at a home on Airbase Rd. in Briceville where Myers lived with co-defendant Tommy Dearing. She told deputies she was loaded in a truck and transported at gunpoint to a remote mountain mining area after the beating. Moneymaker said she was then forced out of the vehicle by Myers, shot and left for dead on a mountain side. Myers was arrested Wednesday night while Dearing was taken into custody Thursday morning.
