On Tuesday, dispatch received multiple calls about a male subject with no shirt or shoes running in the middle of Highway 70E. When city officers arrived, they identified the subject as 33-year-old Bruce Barison, who was still running in the roadway. According to the report, multiple cars were stopped and had to swerve around Mr. Barison to avoid striking him. After initiating lights and then his siren, the Crossville officer was finally able to speak with Mr. Barison as he came to the side of the roadway. He stated to the officer that he was exercising.

After the officer observed Mr. Barison to be intoxicated, he placed him in custody. He was charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
