MAN ARRESTED AFTER STEALING AMMO FROM DUNHAM’S AND WALMART

On September 25, 2025, Lt. Johnathan O’Neal, while off duty at Dunham’s, was approached by the store’s loss prevention officer who suspected a male, later identified as Mr. Glenn Tanner, of stealing merchandise. After reviewing video footage, the loss prevention officer confirmed that Tanner stole a box of .308 ammo by concealing it after visiting the bathroom and leaving the store without paying, triggering the store’s alarm.
Lt. O’Neal notified dispatch, and the loss prevention officer began preparing arrest warrants. Later that day, Officer Jessie Henson located Tanner in his vehicle at a Pilot parking lot, where he observed stolen items, including five Allen Lightning Broadheads from Walmart.
After being read his Miranda Rights, Tanner admitted to stealing the broadheads from Walmart, a box of ammo from Dunham’s, and two boxes of ammo from Rural King, all of which were recovered from his vehicle. Officer Henson contacted the loss prevention teams of Walmart and Rural King, returning the stolen items to their respective stores.
Walmart pursued charges for the broadheads, while Rural King’s loss prevention did not follow through at the Justice Center.
On September 26, 2025, Officer Henson returned two boxes of Remington .308 ammo to Dunham’s and two boxes of Hornady .308 ammo to Rural King, with both stores signing property receipts.
Tanner was arrested on charges of theft and transported to Cumberland County Justice Center.
