MAN ARRESTED AT CENTENNIAL PARK FOR HIT AND RUN

On September 6, 2025, city units responded to Centennial Park in Crossville after a Cumberland County deputy discovered a tan 2005 Toyota Corolla wrecked in the grass of the parking lot, with front-end damage and tire tracks leading from a downed tree to its final position; no driver or owner was present.
Officer Jeremy Beard observed the scene, noted the vehicle’s abandonment on city property, and arranged for a tow truck due to the damage. While the tow truck was loading the vehicle, a suspicious white car slowed to enter the parking lot but abruptly turned away upon spotting officers, prompting the deputy to follow and initiate a traffic stop at the park’s other entrance based on probable cause.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy identified one occupant as Robert Boudreau, the driver of the wrecked Corolla, whom Beard then questioned about fleeing the scene. Boudreau admitted to calling a tow truck and leaving after being told it would arrive in about two hours. Beard subsequently arrested Boudreau, transported him to the Cumberland County Justice Center, and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident.
