MAN ARRESTED AT KINGSTON GAS STATION ON DRUG CHARGES

BBBTV12 – KINGSTON, TN — A man was arrested on multiple charges Saturday after being found passed out in a car at a Weigel’s gas station on Gallaher Road.
On November 16, 2024, at approximately 4:06 p.m., Kingston Police Officer Marie Watson responded to a citizen complaint about a male slumped over in a vehicle. Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Watson approached a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and found Timothy Wright unconscious in the driver’s seat.
After awakening Wright, Officer Watson conducted an NCIC check and discovered that Wright’s driver’s license was suspended and that he was wanted on a local warrant for probation violation.
Officer Watson placed Wright under arrest, and Officer Michael Arnold arrived to assist. During a search, Officer Arnold found a baggy in Wright’s pants pocket containing what is believed to be methamphetamine. The substance weighed approximately 14.4 grams.
Wright was transported to the Roane County Detention Facility and now faces several charges, including:
- Violation of probation
- Driving on a suspended license
- Manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance
- Driving while in possession of methamphetamine
Authorities seized $428 in cash, a cell phone, and the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air as part of the arrest tied to drug-related activity.
Wright remains in custody as the investigation continues.
