MAN ARRESTED FOR LEAVING THE SCENE AFTER OVERTURNING HIS VEHICLE

Late Friday night, Cumberland County deputies responded to Flynn Cove’s Road for a vehicle accident. When they arrived, they found a green Jeep on its side and no driver.

When speaking with the caller, he stated that his wife had discovered the accident and when he was en route to the accident scene, he passed a male subject walking in the road. The male subject was covered in blood when he tried to jump into the back of the man’s truck.  The man told deputies he would not give him a ride and the male continued to walk in the opposite direction of the accident scene.

Deputies received a picture of the registered owner of the Jeep, where the man positively identified him as the same subject who he had an encounter with. He was identified as 33-year-old Joe Levi Reagan. When deputies arrived at Joe’s residence, they reported knocking several times until a female finally came to the door. After asking where Joe was, she pointed to him passed out while sitting upright on the couch. The deputy had a hard time getting his attention and Joe would not answer any questions asked.

Joe Reagan was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident.
