MAN ARRESTED FOR VANDALIZING CAR WINDOW AND POSSESSING METHAMPHETAMINE IN CROSSVILLE
On April 3, 2026, Officer Dustin Lester responded to a vandalism report at Cancun’s restaurant on Main Street in Crossville. The owner, Mr. Miguel Dominguez, reported that the driver-side rear window of his 2000 Toyota Corolla had been smashed while the vehicle was parked beside the restaurant near Old Jamestown Highway.
A video provided to the officer showed a male wearing a yellow jacket riding up to the car and punching the window three times until it shattered. The suspect was identified as Mr. Mariano Cruz-Behena. Officer Lester located and arrested Cruz-Behena at 61 Canterbury Lane. During booking at the Justice Center, a small baggy of methamphetamine was found in his shorts pocket.
The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, leading to additional charges for introduction and possession of meth. The report was filed by Officer Dustin Lester and later approved by Officer Jonathan O’Neal.
