MAN ARRESTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY AFTER REPORTEDLY MAKING LEWD GESTURES TO A WOMAN

Cumberland County deputies received a lookout Sunday for a driver who reportedly made lewd gestures to a female in Pikeville. The victim drove away from the gas station where the incident took place and the aggressor, 24-year-old Tyler Lamparter of Pikeville, reportedly followed her in a pickup truck on Highway 127 towards Cumberland County.

The victim told officers Lamparter pulled up beside her at times and pulled the truck towards her car allegedly making attempts to run her off the road.

The arrest report states Lamparter sped off and as she came around the curve coming into Cumberland County, he was standing outside his vehicle with his pants unzipped and making more lewd gestures to her.

He reportedly passed her again on Highway 127 and was driving in the wrong lane of travel nearly hitting several vehicles head on. Once at the intersection of Highway 127 and Old Highway 28, the victim lost sight of the truck Lamparter was driving.

Deputies located Lamparter on Old Highway 28 and after a short pursuit pulled him over on Hankins Lane. He was arrested for his second DUI offense, reckless driving, evading and resisting arrest and simple possession of drugs.
