MAN CHARGED WITH CONNECTION TO CHATTANOOGA SHOOTING ON JUNE 5TH

Garrian King, age 28, has been arrested and charged in connection to the June 5th mass shooting in Chattanooga that left 3 people dead and 14 injured. According to a DOJ release, he is being charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The affidavit does not accuse King of shooting anyone. It accuses him of having a rifle as a convicted felon. It also says he is a Rollin 60 Crips street gang member.
Authorities say in an online affidavit that they identified King in a Facebook video that showed a man carrying the gun. The affidavit says King is not the person in the video seen carrying the gun. However, the gun does belong to King, who had purchased the gun just days before the shooting.
In December 2016, King and three others were accused of setting off fireworks inside Hamilton Place Mall as a way to steal merchandise from a store.
