MAN CLAIMS FORMER HOUSEMATE PUT METH IN HIS MILK
On April 2, 2025, at around 8:46 PM, Officer Amy Sherrill of the Crossville Police Department was dispatched to Mclarty Ln. to investigate a possible poisoning incident. Upon arrival, she spoke with a man who reported that a former housemate, Audra Hasley, had poisoned him by contaminating a gallon of milk with methamphetamine.
The victim claimed this was retaliation for him and others drinking her milk despite her objections. He admitted to consuming the milk around March 27, 2025, and subsequently fell ill, requiring EMS transport to the hospital on March 29, 2025, where a toxicology report allegedly showed methamphetamine in his system.
He insisted he had not knowingly ingested the drug and attributed it to the milk. However, he had discarded the milk jug that morning, and it was no longer available for testing, nor did he have hospital documentation on hand.
The man’s boyfriend told Officer Sherrill that Hasley had admitted to tampering with the milk but denied using methamphetamine, claiming instead she had added salt water and bricklaying mud.
With no physical evidence available due to the jug being thrown out, Officer Sherrill advised the man to obtain his medical records and lab results from Cumberland Medical Center for March 29, 2025. She also requested a supplemental report from another officer who had spoken to the two on March 29 regarding the alleged tampering.
Hasley had been arrested that day on unrelated out-of-state warrants, but would be charged with aggravated assault from this incident.
