MAN CRASHES TWO VEHICLES IN JOELTON NEIGHBORHOOD EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

A man in Joelton crashed not one, but two vehicles early Sunday morning on a residential street.

The suspected drunk driver crashed his sedan on the 6500 block of Old Clarksville Pike around 3 a.m. He was stuck in the car until first responders arrived. When they pulled him out, the man ran off, hopped into a fire-support vehicle and drove away.

As he drove toward Clarksville Highway, the man must have realized he didn’t know how to shut off the pickup truck’s emergency sirens. Upon seeing police cars heading toward him, he turned and headed back down the street and ended up crashing the truck on a front lawn.

Police coaxed the unidentified man out of the truck and then tackled him to the ground. He was subsequently arrested.
