MAN CUTS COUCH WITH CHAINSAW AFTER HITTING ROOMATE IN THE HEAD WITH A GUN

Saturday night, Cumberland County deputies responded to Tansi in reference to a possible assault.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who stated he was asleep when 33-year-old Joe Reagan entered the house they were living in and took a handgun from the victim’s holster, and struck him twice in the head. The victim stated he retreated into the living room and was sitting on the couch when Mr. Reagan allegedly grabbed a chainsaw and began cutting the couch on which the victim was sitting. The victim stated that he told Mr. Reagan to gather his belongings and leave and not come back again.

When deputies made contact with Mr. Reagan, he stated he had grabbed the gun but did not remember what occurred after he grabbed it. He later admitted he threw the gun at a closet, but didn’t remember hitting the victim.

The victim stated that Mr. Reagan left with the handgun and reported it stolen.

Joe Reagan was charged with Aggravated Assault and has since been released.
